Reply:the department of energy's small business innovative research (SBIR) program will pay for patents Report Abuse

Reply:Try the links below...they may offer some assistance to enable you to research and develop your treatments.

It would be helpful, also, to speak with an Intellectual Property Attorney. They may be able to help you to protect your patent.
Reply:You have to go it yourself. USPTO has discounts for individuals, small-timers, etc.

You should document EVERYTHING to do with your idea, then have it notarized, mail it to yourself and lock it up.

Sad to say, but big corps and small corps are WOLVES! They will take your idea, tell you its worthless, then steal it.

Before you get too excited, you should search USPTO to make sure the idea is unique. If you are in the medical industry, be careful who you tell anything.

If it doesn't show up in the patent database (filed or granted), you can probably patent it. Its getting where you could patent breathing as a means of life-sustenance.
Reply:Good luck.

Your best bet would be to contact a medical company such a Wellcome or Zeneca, but make sure you have copyright in place first.
